"Columbus Day" by Craig Alanson - wacky and fun!

I absolutely LOVED this story! Yes, it is over the top, yes, things happen that seem a bit too outrageous or convenient...but the story was super fun!

An alien invasion that leads to a story that takes place across vast distances, exotic places, and even space pirates are involved...how does someone NOT enjoy this story!?!?

This has everything! Lizards, Hamsters, an AI Beer Can...the wackiness is part of the fun in this story, and the first person story telling is perfect for this as well!

If you are looking for a "serious" type of Sci-fi story...this could be an ok read for you...if you are looking for something that is a little less conventional but fun to read...this is definitely for you!
