Autumn in Iowa

Many people who know me personally, know how much I hate Winter. This wasn't always the case, but as I got older, the idea of the cold, dreary 4 months from November through March became less and less appealing to me.

However, the short Autumn season right before Winter is definitely my favorite! Fall colors, cooler weather, and camp fires that you actually want to sit around!

My wife and I took advantage of the amazing Fall weather and recently went on a small vacation to NE Iowa to take in the scenery, hike some trails and just get away to enjoy one of the most beautiful areas that we have been to in the US. Most people probably do not associate Iowa with beautiful scenery, but most people have not visited this part of the state!
